Starting in Goal Tonight...

by Ryan

Well, same difference really.

A bunch of other scrubs guys might be back, including Andrew Peters (dead to me) and Mike Ryan (I won't cry if he's not re-signed). Sounds like it will be a good time.

Teppo hopes to prove he is not dead.

The good news is that I have a free preview of Center Ice this weekend, so I will be able to watch the really important game tonight, the Washington Capitals taking on Florida with the chance to win the Southeast division and eliminate Carolina from the playoffs.

They look pretty confident.

It's not often (read: very, very often) that I'm vindictive, but it would sure warm my cockles to see Carolina drop six places in less then 24 hours. It would be good for the league if Alexander Ovechkin makes the postseason, and exciting playoff hockey is never a bad thing, so here's hoping we see something special tonight.

---

On a slight programming note, just because the Sabres season is ending tonight doesn't mean we stop posting here in the Roost. In fact, we'll be covering the playoffs pretty tight and get pretty deep into baseball, as well as follow the Sabres offseason and obligatory RFA red alerts. Heck, before you know it the Bills will be on a nearby college campus and assaulting police officers. Never a dull moment around here.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you don't feel like stopping by after tonight we can't stop you. However, if you do feel like killing some time here, we'll have something for you. We have a birthday to celebrate, ridiculous photoshops to create, and we may even start a book club before the seasons change again.

After a quick trip up north I'll be back to break it all down. If I don't make it back across the border, expect a proper eulogy from our Student of the Month.

One last time, little guy.
