I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball. - Ty Webb, Caddyshack
We aren’t better than you. We don’t know anything that you don’t know or couldn’t find out. We are three guys who realize that there is nothing better than kicking back and spending three hours of your life watching grown men duke it out on the football field, while worrying about nothing more complicated than what play to run on a third-and-one. School? Work? Money? Not now…. the game’s on.
Welcome to the Goose’s Roost, our little corner of the Internet, where we will discuss anything and everything. We’re just really big sports fans, like you, but we just have way too much time on our hands. We also don’t mind writing down our thoughts and letting our opinions be known. So, three simple Buffalo guys decided put their collective heads together and you’re looking at the result: The Roost.
The original Goose's Roost was a restaurant in Niagara Falls, but it closed last year and new ownership has changed the name. More recently, Section 304 of HSBC Arena took on the name to honor Buffalo Sabres fan favorite Paul "Goose" Gaustad. The Goose is hard-hitting and hard-working and we love him for it. It’s the way we want to write this blog. We’re not going to pull any punches and we’re going to try like hell to put forth the best product we can.
What we hope to accomplish with this space is simple: To keep us writing, and keep you entertained. We have both come here for a reason: boredom. You and I both want something to do, and so we here at The Goose’s Roost will strive to avoid the important things in life and post here as long as you strive to avoid your important things and read. It’s just that simple.
So if you like hockey, football, baseball, kan jam, and everything in between, you’re more than welcome to hang out for a bit. We hope you enjoy the view.
Sincerely,
Chris, Jon, and Ryan
